Sahibzada Farhan: How ICC T20I Rankings Work

Sahibzada Farhan's ICC T20I ranking should be read from the men's batting table with its update date visible. Ranking position, rating points and runs scored are different measurements. A strong innings may influence a rating, but a player's match score is not simply added to the rankings total.

Choose the right ranking table

The ICC separates formats and disciplines. T20I batting is different from ODI batting, Test batting, bowling and all-rounder rankings. A search snippet that omits the format can make two legitimate figures look contradictory. Check the category before comparing a screenshot with the official page.

Position describes the player's place relative to others at that update. Rating points describe the ranking system's assessment. A change in position can follow another batter's performance as well as Farhan's own results. A career-best rating and a current rating should not be presented as the same number.

Read performance in context

For an opening batter, runs and strike rate answer different questions. Runs show contribution; strike rate describes scoring speed per hundred balls faced. Boundary percentage, dot balls and the powerplay can add context, but they should be calculated from an identified sample of innings.

Compare similar conditions where possible. Chasing a modest target is not identical to setting a total on a difficult surface. Opponent quality, wickets lost around the batter and the required run rate affect the decisions a player faces. A single clip rarely captures all of that information.

Avoid three common mistakes

Do not confuse domestic T20 performances with T20 internationals. Do not call a personal-best position a current world number one without checking the table. Finally, do not turn an approximate gap between rating points into a prediction that one innings will guarantee a particular rank.

The current numerical position is deliberately not frozen into this guide because the official live table changes as results are processed. Historical comparisons need a dated ranking archive or an ICC release.

Try a simple analysis
